Ending The Class With A Bang

There are so many ways to communicate with people that sending a letter through the post office is almost obsolete. Digital tools have become the number one source for connecting to the outside world. Digital tools like Facebook, Twitter and Skype have paved the way for the upcoming generation to live without regrets. They are inventing their own language for communicating outside the norm for the older generation that seems to create a gap. I believe that both are great in their own right, however with a little cultivating of effort from both sides I believe the communication gap will be bridged and a relationship forged.

Our class experience has been long and sometimes frustrating but we have come to the end and gained new skills in the digital age. Go Team!

A tip for concise communication (Unit 5)

Demystify and clear up confusion of spoken words. Keys to effective communication is clarity and conciseness. Make sure that your tone is not monotone or flat maintain a pitch that attracts a listener to hear, listen and follow along. Know your audience and let your words draw in their attention and participation.

A tip for adding images to your blog (Unit 5)

Try to maintain consistency in the size, placement and font of the photos within your posts. Ensure the photos that you are using are not copyrighted images. If you link the photos using another site make sure the site is still active otherwise the link will be broken. Always use a photo editor to resize your image to ensure it fits with you content width. Place mouse cursor in the very place you would like to have the photo. Click add image. As you add words to your blog make sure the image is aligned left or right so the text will wrap around.

Communicaton: More than words.

According to Merriam-Webster online dictionary, Communication is "a process by which information is exchanged between individuals". This blog will be about the one thing we all believe we do so well yet is the very thing that causes great harm-Communication. Every action speaks on your behalf, whether its giving voice to heartfelt emotions or letting your silence send the message through your body language. In either case we are always speaking however is it what we are wanting others to hear. Just because we are speaking does not mean we conveyed our thoughts effectively. Just because we are silent does not mean we are not communicating.
Effective Communication takes practice as well as thought, like the old saying says "think before you speak"!
